PERMANENT JEWELLERY

It is a customised bracelet, anklet, necklace or ring that is closed using a small welding machine.  The jewellery has no clasp, so in theory it is 'permanent'.  It is not something you take on or off when you go to bed or have a shower. 

People hear the word 'welded' and immediately think the worse.  Permanent jewellery is perfectly safe.  I use the highest quality machine on the market.  A small weld is used to close the chain and I use a protective cloth to shield the skin. 

At Forever Jewel, I use 925 sterling silver and 14k gold-filled chains, which are high quality, durable, and resistant to tarnishing with proper care. 

Permanent jewellery is still a fine jewellery and as such it needs to be maintained to keep it looking beautiful.  To maintain the longevity of your jewellery care must be taken.  You will receive an aftercare package after your appointment.

Most medical professionals will ask that jewellery be removed before any scan.  Therefore, I will happily remove beforehand or you can cut it yourself at the jump-ring using a pair of sharp scissors.  I will then re-weld it back on for you free of charge.

Airport security checks are detecting metal.  Jewellery will only set this off if they are made from magnetic metals.  At Forever Jewel, I only use the highest quality fine metals and as such they are non-magnetic and will not set off any alarms.

The minimum age is 10 for permanent jewellery.  Anyone under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

Yes, absolutely. If you would prefer not to have your jewellery welded permanently, I can add a clasp instead. This allows you to easily remove and reattach your piece whenever needed while still enjoying the same beautiful chain options. 

If your chain were to break at the jump-ring (the welding point) within 30 days of your appointment please return to me where I can re-weld the jewellery back on for you free of charge. As this is a personalised, bespoke service with made to measure chains I cannot offer any refunds after the 30 days.

Yes, I do offer a re-weld service for a small fee of £10. This applies whether the chain was originally fitted by me or by another permanent jewellery artist, if you are unable to return to them.
